it seems our beloved aim chatroom is pretty fucked up the last days. maybe it's time to move on and start a new one? what about the jabber chatroom we tested some time ago?

    tao opened up the jabber room yesterday (i've no idea how to do it).

    there is much kerfuffle surrounding the AIM errors on the aol forums, too. no sign of a fix, or even an acknowledgment.

    that's what i get for 87.3% of the messages i try to post to the room.

    heres a short how-to for ichat: http://www.jabber.org.au/ichat

    you can also sign up for a jabber account there. if you have a google/gmail account you should be able to use it in ichat too.

    only the chat rooms, i think. IM is still working fine.

    there are some weirdos in a jabber chat room now - fltalk@conference.jabber.org

    either a jabber account, or a gmail account is needed.
    (yes, google has email now)
