Just finished, thank god. It was not a hard project for me, but I had to force myself to work on it. I had oo many things going on at once.

(You can see me there too. On the bus stop, the dog is eating the bread from my hand.)

Should have the scaffolding down soon as and then a nice glass roof.
Should have the windows in by then as well, and then we can paint the exterior.

yeah, try saving for web on the image, edit your first post, delete the current attachment, attach the saved-for-web. this may sound all greek to you ;) make sure the original image is rgb and not over 500k too.

i took the beetle illustrations, and mixed it up a bit with the style from an earlier illustration, and came up with this.
  • edited 10:51AM
of course, i ended up reusing parts from the cars. for instance, the original beetle now has no wheels...

trying to quickly learn how to use Cinema4D for a project. spent 3 hrs yesterday modeling, now I'm putting on materials and thinking about the animation. its nothing special. logo pulling back from the camera off axis an having a globe pass through leaving a globe 'imprint' on the logo.Basically I'm using it for this project as a reason to learn the program and having a use for the final part unlike having a useless tutorial piece. feels like I'm running into a wall all the time, coming off lightwave (which I barely know at all) and formZ and electric image before that (oh god that was horrible)

I might post it after I'm done, but I'm not going to promise. I don't have any space anywhere to post videos. unless someone knows of some free space. trying to stay from youtube because of the crap codec.

These are some examples for a flyer for Liverpool Music Week 2007 Summer Disco. I had 6 hours to research / prep / finish the job !!!

The brief was to design an image which is almos 'crap' !! To have almost have an eighties feel with bright primary print colours and to use 'shitty' fonts / typography. Very strange, but if you look at a lot of work produced for bands, there is an odd trend of almost amateurish design. The client sat with me whist choosing fonts. Not my typical style of work / working but the client is very very happy with the results. Branded materials were also produced for the Texas Music Events Calendar 2007.

Here is what I have been working on at my part time job / on-site client work.

This is the one where I made the site in CSS and then found out it had to work on IE3 on OS9, so it had to be switched over to teh FRAMES. :( And now the client just cares more about finishing than quality, so its kind of dodgey. Anywho, I came up with my layout and design in less than a day, as required by client demand, so its not that horrid for the restrictions.

whoever said architecture was glamourous? im stuck here gone midnight adding motorised smoke vents into my lovely passive tree hugging naturally ventilated project.

    why?

1 week til deadline and the fire engineer rings up and says erm ... i have had another think ... erm ... i'm not sure the advice i gave was wholly correct ... erm ... erm ... and with no extension of time possible this side of the novation (yes architectural contract law is dull) i have to make the scheme work no matter what.

    we do try
