i think it will be like the movie surrogates. where people have AI avatars that look nothing like themselves and interact with each other while their fat lazy asses sit on couches in their underwear eating cheetos.
Umm, I think the assessment around avoiding government control is a good part of this but, also, I'm sure the commercial strategy is there too, in terms of stemming the tide... (though I don't know what the stats are for growth/decline are).
Still not sure I'll be logging back into Facebook anytime soon.

incursions? You know what I mean. And yeah, ditching facebook was quite easy (of course, still use messenger a little, and instagram a lot).
