Adobe Illustrator Problem

edited April 2007 in conversations
Does anyone know of a workaround that can bring Adobe Illustrator CS2 back, once hidden in the finder. Dock shows application is hidden, but with open files, but can't switch back to Illustrator - i have to Force Quit. It's been annoying me for about 2 years!

you've been living with this for 2 years?!?! :D

maybe a corrupt font? i know that most of my problems with illustrator have resulted in a funked-up font.

it's definitely something that is specific to your system, too.

Nope doesn't work (apple tab). Strange that it occurs on all our production machines (10.4.9 + CS 2 Suites +Font Explorer X).

    Hmmm...

strange. Are they Intel Macs Mesk?

I have a problem showing once hidden on my Intel iMac but is purely an emulation / memory problem. It takes ages to display the workspace and sometimes crashes after a while.

Sounds like a common problem there though. Software maybe. Or as Nimmot says, a font. Are the fonts local in your place or are they server based? If theyre server based that may suggest a font problem. If theyre local... well... I dunno !
