Can you send me the link again about upgrading my old girl from quadcore to 8 core? I have done some things with it..And at this point..It's at the point to upgrade the CPU and the RAM?
At the moment I've spent about $130 on the 1,1. Added an Nvidia GT620 2 gig ($35 on Craigslist) It's running 2 HD's 1 for El Cap 10.11.5 and the original HD running 10.7.5 and Win7 32 bit on bootcamp. My next step is to buy a 3'rd HD and install Windows 7 64 bit as per this thread.. http://glennstevenson.com/Blog/TabId/1115/PostId/4/Install-Windows-7-64-Bit-On-Mac-Pro.aspx
I've already got the ISO made.. After I spend $50 for the HD for Windows.. I'll take your advice and do the 2 quad core CPU and an SSD. And it looks like I'll end up between $300-$400 total..
