World's largest panorama — 320 gigapixels!

edited February 2013 in creations
The 360-degree view is made up of 320 gigapixels and 48,000 individual frames, creating the world's largest panoramic photo. The London panorama is so detailed that if printed in 2D, the image would be 98 meters across and 24 meters tall – almost as big as Buckingham Palace. It took three days to shoot the individual photos and photographers battled to capture the capital through rain, wind and freezing temperatures. It then took three months to process the information and create the final image.

The pictures, taken from the top of the BT Tower - London's tenth largest building - at the end of the 2012 Olympics, depict everything from the Shard to a small group of friends chatting in the park.
