on it indeed. i'm never going to catch up. i estimate there's 14-15 tunes i have to listen to before i can decide on what might come next. sheesh.... you snooze, you lose!
i have a couple in mind, but... there's heavy listening to be done before i can tell what will fit.
a brief glance reinforces to me that you folks have excellent taste.
I really like what Stuart did in posting a link to the original. i went back and edited my post to copy him.
pisser, i f'n love covers, snoozing and losing here! 1. nicko already picked the perhaps 1st best over ever, nouvelle vague's too drunk to fuck 2. mick already named the my 2nd fav, the gourds version of gin 'n' juice 3. meska said 20-25, there are already about 30
might have to start my own mix. i suppose i could begin with the 30+ versions of louie louie (once had an LP from rhino with 12 versions). i guess i could share a spotify playlist with the ones they have in their database.
maybe we could have a mix with the world's most pathetic covers. just did one myself for a friends 50th, dylan's if not for you (you have to struggle through a bit of swedish redundantness to about 1.30 to hear the music). probably need to stick legitimately recorded versions as there are too many wankers like myself out on the tubes.
Red, keep on posting, i'm going to do multiple volumes of covers. There's just too many out there. Also pathetic covers is a great idea, although i think some pathetic ones (the one's purists don't like) are just as good
you know, i figured that any mix that could handle Pat Boone would be well balanced by Kusevin's genius, but fukkit. just because i find the Cure to be pedestrian doesn't mean others do.
i'll pull it out in deference to that negativity, though.
you are getting Sid, tho'. My Way *nod* (someone came through and sent me the mp3.)

Covers sounds fine to me, though I might embarrass myself with my questionable taste in music (and I can't think of anything to suggest myself!)!
I did hear a great bluegrass cover of Gin and Juice yesterday.....
no trouble with uploading the the futureofthefunk Dropbox.
~back to the drawing board...
Excellent, keep em coming. Just keep adding them in, i might even do more than 1 volume of Covers:!::!::!:
Okay, I've found a replacement for nouvelle track
Isaac! I've only got the nine inchesminute version, not the 11 of you tube!

~ hi mick!

no envy here for whoever has to decide on a track order. (waves at meska)
the way it looks now, this won't be complete without the Cure's Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division).
I crave to put in another Nouvelle Vague tune. it's a fantastic album; my fave is their cover of Dance With Me.
is it ok to double dip on the artists?
also... this mix ~really~ deserves to include Sid Vicious' My Way. I don't have a copy of it, though, so i'm hoping someone else might.
kelrin... you have a good sense of fun; i had to turn the sound off. are they ALL set to autoplay now?
eek
I forgot i had this one; Albert Kuvesin's cover makes me much happier.

btw: nice work all, can't wait for the final mix!

There's nothing pathetic or weak about Laibach! Especially when they're covering Queen.
It's a shame that a lot of people think that they are some sort right wing Nazi band. They love to provoke like fuck though.
