DVD Souond Levels

edited April 2009 in advice
I've got a DVD of a movie which has strange audio level qualities.

Played on my cheap living room DVD player, there's no sound at all - zip, nada, silence, even with everything turned up full volume.

On my iMac, using the DVD Player software, I can crank up full volume on the player and the computer, and get a soft sound, enough to hear it, but not much.

Using VLC, I get a normal sound level, so that if I do crank it all up, I'll blow myself out of the room.

Not that it's too important, but is there a way I can burn another copy of this movie and adjust the sound level so it plays on the DVD player, or using other software?

I've got quite a collection of apps, but rarely use them for much more than the occasional rip and burn.

You could try using DVD2One. In there you can change the volume when you remaster it. Look here to see how under the remaster audio option.

    I hope this helps.
