FTP using a Lacie Ethernet Disk Mini >>>

just wondering if anyone could offer some advice on how to setup FTP access on my Lacie Network disk? I've gone through the setup proceedure, and retrieved its IP addy, and can connect to it via http:// - but, when i try to connect via FTP, it just tells me that it can't locate the user account. I've also tried connecting to it via the go menu "connect to server" but it gives me a code -50

any ideas?

    These do FTP? I thought they were only SMB (samba) shares...
