Hard copy portfolios
OK, I had planned to use blurb to make some portfolio books.
Guess what? Seems I'm a bit fazy, I should have started earlier but I'd like to take something with me to Singapore in 5 weeks time. I'm not sure that sending stuff to the US and getting it back to Blighty will work in this timescale.
Anybody used a blurb looky-likey in the UK? If so who and were they any good?

lots of photoplaces do stuff like this, right? i remember someone getting one of the iphoto ones recently, or something.
also, from the blurb site - and...
I dont know if any of them are in the uk though
(i just remembered where that was, its been brought up a few times in various conversations)
looking good
one for all, and all for one!
so what spec did you get and how much did it cost etc?
One off = £7.95 (excluding delivery). I fixed a few things and ordered 10 last night (10% discount for 10+ copies). Total was 85 quid including super-fast delivery.
I wonder if they'd do a fifth colour ie metallic?
I dun geddit either chris
i have to say that even my uneducated eye skittered at the gap between the A and the V. and usually when one of you points out some subtlety of kerning, i can't see it at all.
I designed the job around a metallic firth, so i might have to hit the drawing board again and work on a replacement colour / style for it.
It just seems a waste to not try and use the shots i designed and directed.
Nice 1 anyway mate
