Ive often thought of this same problem never found anything yet. Im using avast anti virus they have a free version which you can trial for 30 days or something then you register and get a free code for a years use.

kaspersky
security suite has little snitch like ability, although it's more heavyweight and it's not free. I use it for my pc's - good software.

i started with zone alarm as its the only one i remember from pc days - kapersky sems to break my bootcamp/parallels shared networking
ill stick with that for now - but i have no clue about antivir

should be your first port of call for good, free, Windows anti-virus

next question:
what works when lil' snitch isn't enough?
many apps are making (my term) blind calls directly to a browser these days.
my solution, so far, is to have a user that has no permission for any internet connection. it's effective, but awkward.
