the Hard Rock Hotel’s newest ‘be-seen’ destination, an extravagant 14,000 square foot, upscale nightclub. A ridiculously luxurious interior, courtesy of Californian designers, Mister Important, sees antique mirrors, marble bars, honeycombed walls, exceedingly opulent restrooms and a centrepiece chandelier with over 20,000 lit crystals, all fused with more than a little theatre.
Sundolier, a powerful sunlight transport system that’s like putting a solar robot on your roof to pump sunlight indoors! The manufacturer claims a single Sundolier unit can provide enough light to illuminate a 1000-2500 sq. ft. area without any other sources.
Grand Central is an innovative expandable table that transforms from space-saving occasional table to the central piece of the room. The tabletop is divided into 22 pieces that folds out in a spectacular way through its advanced construction. Dramatic and poetic at the same time. The inspiration comes from a pop-up map of New York.
With a little paint and some bold typography, a school designed to change the life of its students has undergone a transformation of its own. For the Achievement First Endeavor Middle School, a charter school for grades 5 through 8 in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, Paula Scher has created a program of environmental graphics that help the school interiors become a vibrant space for learning. The project was completed in collaboration with Rogers Marvel Architects, who designed the school as a refurbishment and expansion of an existing building
