"When a machine that allows therapists to enter their patient's dreams, the DC mini, is stolen, all hell breaks loose. People start acting crazy, going into the streets.

Only a young female therapist can stop it : Paprika, the alter-ego of Dr Chiba Atsuko, one of the inventors of the device. She is assisted by Detective Kogawa Toshimi, also victim of a recurrent dream. Then Dream and reality blend, to a point where you start asking yourself questions, à la Perfect Blue."
