Hah! I thought you were coming in to tell me what a great idea getting a pair of pink Tyres was! (I'm ordering them tomorrow, I think). Right, that car... Came up in a google image search for something, posted in a huge thread on a car mods forum somewhere. Originally hosted on a photobucket, no link to source, or other details...
The first and only product from resurrected Belgian auto maker Imperia, which previously operated in the early 20th century, but other than the pronounced front grille offers little resemblance to its forbears either above or below that pronounced bonnet. It has an inline four cylinder turbo engine offering 212hp that's paired with a 134hp electric engine, itself backed by a Li-polymer battery pack. It'll do about 45 miles on batteries alone but, more importantly, will roll the 0 - 60mph sprint in under four seconds. Or, at least, it will if it ever hits production. A concept of the car was unveiled at the Brussels Auto Show, but it's anyone's guess when it might actually hit the road for reals.
KTM X-Bow revealed Austrian motorcycle builder KTM today released the first images of a scale model of its new X-Bow (crossbow) roadster. The model was built for wind-tunnel testing, has a scale of 1:2.5 and corresponds in almost every detail with the final car. The first prototype of the car, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow in the beginning of March, is nearing completion.
The 1500-pound car has a four-cylinder Audi engine offering 220 horsepower in the base model, and a potential 300 horsepower in a more expensive variant. A choice of either a six-speed manual or DSG gearbox will be given. KTM says the X-Bow will hit 62 mph in well under four seconds.
The X-Bow has no windshield, and instead will come with specially designed helmets, intended to offer shelter from the elements rather than full crash protection.
After its debut in Geneva, 100 units will be manufactured in-house by Italian racing car specialists Dallara and sold by KTM. The price for the basic version will be around 40,000 euros.
If all goes well, KTM plans further small series productions of the car. This production will take place in Austria and begin in 2008. KTM is working on the basis of a projected 500 units per year. The decision concerning production will be made at the end of April 2007.
Force Dynamics 401cr test drive. i really want one of these. all donations are welcome, just need to get up to around the $100k mark, and i'll be set. everyone who donates $10 or more can come on over and have a go on it, i promise (i should make a kickstarter project for this, right ).
This EX vehicle propelled by screwdrivers is just nuts. The pared-down racing trike harnesses two 18-volt screwdrivers as engines, allowing it to accelerate up to 30 km/h. It looks like a blast, however due to the vehicle’s aggressive skeleton-luge seating you might just need a screw loose to drive it.

2011 BAC MONO (Briggs Automotive Company; Mono as in monoposto, or one seat), boasts a better power-to-weight ratio than a Bugatti Veyron, as well it should with such an unappealing name. Levity aside, the MONO is a the product of the Briggs’ brothers engineering prowess and some very impressive parts. A Cosworth-sourced engine produces 280bhp, which gets the one-seater to 60mph in an unbelievable 2.8 seconds. The naturally aspirated 2.3 liter unit is mated to a six speed sequential Hewland transmission with paddle shifting. Other premium parts include Sach adjustable dampers, AP Racing brakes, and bespoke OZ wheels with Kumho rubber.
