damn, been having that issue for months. The second i post about it the idea pops in my head of trying to load without content blockers and ... voila! instant stupid feeling
i wonder what was causing the non-loading for you, shock? i think the only thing on the site that gets blocked for me is the google analytics (but the site still loads, of course)
hmmn, it is included in the header, rather than the footer, though - my bad.
also still have some amazon affiliate code in there that i should really remove as it's of no use any longer. hey ho. i should probably update the forum at some point, too hehe
The only thing I ever find, with iPhone on mobile signal rather than WiFi, is that the stylesheet doesn't load... I'll grab a screenshot. Never bothered mentioning it, as I'm not a complainer!*
I'm a bit (understatement) out of date with web stuff, didn't realise you could use a bit of j.s to query wifi or not. Makes sense now I thunk about it!
Not sure what it was but I added it to the 1Blocker whitelist and works fine now.
Yeah the site could do with a refresh. Has vanilla got a newer more mobile version? I’m specially finding the pagination at the bottom really frustrating
2) Calls emergency services? NAAAAH! Let's call my sister, who is an hour's drive away, has 2 kids, and keeps her phones off at night. Leaves a message for her!
3) Sister sees message at 6AM, calls back, finds out that... he didn't call the ambulance yet...? So has to organize all that BS, get my mum into assisted living cos she had a *major* stroke about 5 months ago, yadda yadda
My dad calls me ~3AM my time (he in Switzerland, I'm in San Francisco, 9h time diff), asking if I feel like coming back to Switzerland to be their live-in help...?
holy shit, slater! hope everything goes smoothly. shit, i dunno what to say, that sounds like a lot to take in / on in such a short time. take care, duder!
sorry to hear that slater. fingers crossed things work out well...
we were drinking IPA's in seattle in the late 80's. pre-hipster. now i see them everywhere. my guess is that brewing an IPA is relatively easy since so many do it. it is 100% my fave kind of beer. there are even small brewers in spain doing it which was really surprising for me. lucky me though...in 2003 when i moved to europe i couldn't find one anywhere. always had belgian people telling me their beer was best (it's totally different and not nearly my fave).
around here we have an arepas party. and i plan to work as much as i can to catch up on stuff. the pool is finally warming up so we'll probably loaf around there, too.
the missus fancies camping somewhere with the kids, but i dunno... at the very least, we're dragging them out to a large open area tomorrow for exercise and picnic type activities.

it's 9.42 here, just got in to the office. temp is normal (like, 10°C), and weather is normal (like, grey).
Moaning (cause it's raining again!)
