Scottish brewery BrewDog has reclaimed the world record for the strongest beer in history with a 55% alcohol beer which it has named “The End of History.” Only 11 bottles will be available, and each bottle will come inside a stuffed animal – seven Stoats will be available at GBP500 and four grey squirrels at GBP700, making it also the most expensive beer in history.
The Flour Pot Bakery Pot strives for a healthy diet with high quality, natural ingredients and environmentally friendly practices. The bakery’s interior space is inviting and warm with natural lighting and eclectic funky displays advertising baked goods. This identity system was designed to convey the unique and handmade qualities of the bakery. The hand-drawn type was inspired by the wiry Christmas lights arranged throughout the dining area. I chose to design a menu that could be carried home without hassle. I placed all menu items on a baguette carry-out bag so that customers could carry the menu home easily while simultaneously being able to enjoy a Flour Pot baked good. An alternate menu for lunch is available for guests who dine in.
Xococava (pronounced shoco-cava), an extension of its big brother restaurant, Cava, is whimsical hybrid of a stand-up tapas bar crossed with an ice-cream parlour. Inspired by Spanish and Mexican cultures of chocolate and Italy's love affair with gelato, Xococava features artisanal ice cream and hand-made chocolate. With such unusual creations as prune/Pedro Ximenez sherry ice cream and choriso, dark chocolate truffles, the store caters to Toronto's burgeoning "foodie" culture.
Concrete created an identity program that utilizes strong typographic forms. This extends to the chocolate "periodic table" that uses two-letter combinations to identify the different flavours of chocolate.
Wrappers Delight is an exhibition that displays the collection of orange fruit wrappers found by the studio member Rose Reeves (over the past 8 years) who explains “Like most graphic designers we have always, in an unconscious fashion, collected items of graphic ephemera and mostly by unknown designers. This action often becomes a more conscious obsession as time goes on and leads to an unexpected collection which you and others can then attach a great deal of fondness and value to.” Visually the wrappers have a unique charm, featuring everything from spirograph patterns, eagles, zebras and horses in clashing colours.
One of the projects that received the award of Design Effect was the packaging design for Jakobs Utvalgte, a high quality brand with over 24 different products and 100 different variants. One year after the series was first launched it had already sold for 100 millions kroner, witch clearly proof that Norwegians appreciate quality food. The design was made by Strømme Throndsen Design, and its clearly made to stand out in the store as a high-class and exclusive.

Zarb Champagne - gorgeously playful packaging design that makes you think differently about the pleasures of champagne...
there are other designs, and the one you think looks like a vagina, is actually a pair of lips (mouth lips).
